If you are downsizing a parent, clearing out an estate, or moving out of a home someone has lived in for forty years, there is a whole industry built for exactly this, and most people have never heard of it. It is called move management.
Jen Michaud is the Sales and Operations Manager for ONESource Moving Solutions across their Windsor and Chatham locations. I have worked with her team on a number of properties, so I wanted to get her on and walk through what they actually do.
We cover what happens on that first phone call, and why Jen comes out and sits down with you in your own home before anything gets quoted. We cover what estate services look like when the family lives in another province or another country. How contents get sorted into online auction, marketplace, donation, or disposal, and why the donation route comes with a tax receipt. What furniture is genuinely worth versus what people think it is worth. And the unpack-and-setup service, where they photograph each shelf of the curio cabinet at the old house so it goes back exactly the same way at the new one. That detail matters more than people expect.
Jen also explains why every person on their team, office and field, carries a police clearance with a vulnerable sector check.
And yes, we get into the freezer. If you have ever had one appliance stop an entire closing, you will understand.

Evan and Brody co-own E&B Junk Solutions in Windsor. They're both nineteen, they were both born here, and they've been running businesses of some kind since the lemonade stand days.
I called them when I walked into a property that was well past anything I could deal with, and they were out the next day. So I wanted to have them on.
We talk about how a junk removal quote actually works and why a photo will never be enough. Where everything goes once it leaves your driveway, and how much of it gets donated instead of dumped. The first house cleanout they ever took on and everything that went sideways. What they've learned about people from walking into homes after a death, a fire or a flood. And why they'd rather work five in the morning to nine at night for themselves than nine to five for somebody else.
There's a good conversation about faith in the middle of this one as well.
Find E&B Junk Solutions at https://www.ebjunksolutions.com/, on Instagram @ebjunksolutions, on Facebook at E&B Junk Solutions Inc, or call Evan at 226-246-4056.

Most agents think social media is supposed to close deals. Chris Hanna says that's the wrong job description, and once you understand what content is actually doing for you, everything about how you make it changes.
Chris is the founder of All In Content, a done-for-you video, social media management, and podcast production company serving Windsor-Essex. He has also been editing and posting my content for the last couple of years. We recorded this one in person inside the All In Content Studio.
We talk about why social media keeps you top of mind rather than closing the deal, how batching lets you film once and stay visible for months, where AI helps and where it is making everyone sound the same, the testimonial ask most agents avoid, why the phone still wins, and how burnout creeps up on people who run their own business. We finish on where content is heading and why long form is coming back.
If you have been posting consistently and still feel invisible, start here.
