Windy City Double Feature Picture Show

This week, Adam and Mike look back at an AIP counter-culture double of PSYCH-OUT (1968) and the debut of Billy Jack in THE BORN LOSERS (1967) that opened at the Studio Theatre on March 8, 1968.

Chicago's very own programmer and critic John Dickson joins Adam and Mike as the trio look back at the Clint Eastwood thriller two-fer, PLAY MISTY FOR ME (1971) and THE BEGUILED (1971) that opened at the Chicago Theatre on March 8, 1972.

This week we look back at a double feature of two iconic French thrillers, Jules Dassin's RIFIFI and DIABOLIQUE that opened at the Carnegie on February 15, 1957.

Adam and Mike take on their first triple feature the fantasy trifecta of Terry Gilliam's TIME BANDITS (1981), the star mummy midnight movie TIME WALKER (1982), and Albert Pyun's barbarian-sploitation epic THE SWORD AND THE SORCERER (1982) that opened at the Devon Theatre on January 14, 1983

Mike and Adam kick off Season 3 with a look back at the very British double feature of Ken Russell's THE BOY FRIEND (1971) and Michael Caine in GET CARTER (1971) that premiered at the Olympic Theater on March 31, 1972.

They're joined by historian, author, raconteur, and returning champion, Justin Humphries.

This week, Adam and Mike are celebrating Noirvember with a terrific cops, robbers, and cowboys double feature of KANSAS CITY CONFIDENTIAL (1952) and Robert Mitchum and Susan Heywood in THE LUSTY MEN (1952), the former of which had its world premiere in Chicago seventy years ago this month!

This week, Mike and Adam look back at the William Girdler "when animals attack double" of DAY OF THE ANIMALS (1977) and GRIZZLY (1976) that opened at the 41 Outdoor Theater on December 9, 1977.

It's our annual Music Box Of Horrors episode! This year, we are bringing a Hammer horror double feature to Chicago's Music Box Theatre with DRACULA: PRINCE OF DARKNESS and PLAGUE OF THE ZOMBIES which originally played Chicago at the Capitol Theatre on the south side, complete with a giveaway of Dracula fangs and zombie eyes!

This week, Mike and Adam look back at the B-movie sci-fi double feature of INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS (1956) and THE INDESTRUCTIBLE MAN (1956)that opened at Riviera on March 30, 1956.

Summer's over, but Mike and Adam are going to camp for a double feature of LITTLE DARLINGS (1980) and MEATBALLS (1979) that premiered at the Dolton Theatre on June 27, 1980.
