Chicago comedians Kells Tha Komic and Amanda Costner review Showtime's television series, The Chi. Created by Lena Waithe, The Chi depicts an average south sider's life walking the streets of Chicago. Kells and Amanda debate the various scandals that have taken place throughout the course of the show and give their evaluation on how close to actual Chicago life The Chi is. 

At the top of the hour is our Global News Segment where we discuss what’s going on in the world. Meg Thee Stallion goes on Instagram live after recovering from getting shot in her feet. Talib Kweli gets caught harassing women on twitter and it looks like Americans are going to get another round of stimulus checks for sure. After our Global News segment we dive  into ‘Lori Stories’, a short discussion about what’s happening with our Chicago Mayor, Lori Lightfoot. After taking down the controversial Columbus statue in downtown Chicago in the middle of the night, Lightfoot reverses course and says they may bring the statue back.

This week Chicago comedians Kells Tha Komic and Amanda Costner interview owner of Celestial Confections Chicago, a small business that specializes in THC Edibles and Herbal Infusions.

At the top of the hour is our Global News Segment where we discuss what’s going on in the world. Today we’re talking about Kanye West’s campaign rally, Whether or not schools should reopen, and the Chicago protestors who attempted to tear down a Columbus statue.

After our Global News segment we dive straight into ‘Lori Stories’, a short discussion about what’s happening with our Chicago Mayor, Lori Lightfoot. This week Lightfoot called someone a “Karen” and let’s just say WE ARE HERE FOR THAT.

During our main topic of the hour, Sarah Jo from Celestial Confections Chicago talks about being half underground, half above ground as a business. As well as what it’s like to run a marijuana company when you come from a conservative catholic family.

Kells Tha Komic and Amanda Costner hash out the timeline of the fast demise of Nini's Deli, a beloved, family owned Sandwich Shop in Wicker Park. After being asked how they felt about the Black Lives Matter movement, the owner, Jauny, went on a racist, xenophobic, homophobic tirade. What followed was swift backlash from the public.
