  • Is Cancel Culture Even Real?

As the world moves to be more online, everyone's actions, likes, and encounters on the internet are always under a microscope, especially if you've done something "wrong". On today’s episode, we dive into the topic of cancel culture. While cancel culture has a negative stigma attached to it, we talk about why we think cancel culture is important. In our opinion, it's bringing up topics of conversation that need to be had and helping to hold people accountable for their actions. Getting ‘canceled’ doesn’t have to mean an end, instead it can be an opportunity for growth. As always, we end the episode with a man of the hour - who could probably stand to be cancelled.

  • Social Media: The Highlight Reel

In today’s episode, Shannon shares a story that proves she has completely lost her mind - in the most relatable way possible. Then we dive right into our thoughts on how social media has changed over the years and evolved into what it is today. We discuss the importance of remembering that social media is simply a highlight reel, not the full story, and it is ok to unfollow accounts that don’t bring you joy. In the words of Shannon: "comparison is the thief of joy". Once again we round out the episode with our latest man of the hour. Follow us on Instagram: @winealittle.podcast.
