Wine, Wine Not A Queer Podcast

Danny Garcia joins Rick and Jeremy to review Buena Vista Social Club and Nosferatu, complete with blood-sucking vampires and cocktails that take a bite out of your wallet. The boys revisit Tip Toe, demand more Melba and discover Stage Kiss, a deliciously cheesy gay melodrama they're almost embarrassed to enjoy. Plus, lesbian icons, questionable trivia and unsolicited opinions.

Tip Toe gets darker, La Bola Negra earns five grapes and Jeremy survives seven movies in seven days with some questionable casualties. Meanwhile, The Simpsons, Friends, Pride, AI, NYC soup and assorted nonsense all demand attention. It’s pop culture criticism held together by opinions, tangents and very little adult supervision.

Alan Cumming keeps us hooked on Tip Toe’s increasingly stressful drama, while Real Boy delivers a thoughtful and powerful look at trans identity and family. Elsewhere, Jeremy survives bad movies and good cocktails, Rick collects Broadway experiences, and somehow Roseanne’s finale becomes a debate nobody asked for.

Bellanee is back for a guest spot, and somehow things spiral from Hamilton to Friends, Verity, La Bohème and the wildly addictive new series Tip Toe. Along the way: Broadway rankings, Josh Hartnett’s frequently discussed rear end, IQ debates, tequila-Rose and milk and enough Alexander Hamilton roasting to make history class file a complaint.

Jeremy survives toe surgery, retail madness, and a customer experience that should probably be reported to someone. Rick accidentally gets hired, the boys review the Bob Mackie documentary, revisit the bizarre legacy of the film Primetime and somehow still find time for trivia-night drama, Broadway chaos and an alarming amount of penis-related conversation. Just another perfectly normal week.

This week, Jeremy gets ghosted by housing, betrayed by bureaucracy and charged extra by his storage unit, while Rick discovers Dallas, a $12 wardrobe and the worst seat on an airplane. Along the way: Pokémon, drag queens, Friends, line dancing, airport indignities and a review of My Own Private Idaho that's somehow less depressing than Jeremy's week.

This week, Rick and Jeremy dive headfirst into the Emmys, debating winners, losers, awkward musical numbers and why Mariska Hargitay probably shouldn’t quit her day job. They also tackle Jeremy’s jaw-dropping housing saga, Orlando’s queer arts scene, softball adventures and enough side tangents to qualify as performance art.
