Week 4 (Nov. 22, 2020) Understanding How Praise Facilitates Fulfilment of Prophecies (Part 4)
What are Prophecies?
Prophecies carry in-built capacity for fulfillment – Isa. 55:10-11/ Luk. 1:34-35
God speaks according to what He will and can do – Gen. 22:17-18/ Isa. 14:24
God speaks according to His capacity, not our weakness – 2 Kgs. 7:1-2/19-20/ Jer. 32:17
But until a prophetic Word is received, it never gets fulfilled – 2 Pet. 1:19-21/ Luk. 8:11/15/ Mak. 4:30-32
Every prophetic word received engraces us for steadfastness in stewardship – 1 Cor. 15:58/ Phi. 1:21
Every prophetic word received keeps the zeal of God burning in our heart – Act. 2:30-31/ Psa. 69:9/ Psa. 119:46/162/164/ Psa.84:1-11
Hezekiah, an example of prophecy fulfilled through praise
Had a verdict of death passed upon his life, which was averted in response to his cry after which God added fifteen more years to him – Isa. 38:1-6
But he had to engage in praise to see that prophecy fulfilled – Isa. 38:18-20
To see prophecies fulfilled, we will continue to celebrate the prophetic word like Hezekiah did – Isa. 38:1-6/18-20
