Dustin Watkins is a Co-Founder of DataBased. He started DataBased in his brother’s basement and grew the company from 1 to 14 employees in 3 years. DataBased was bootstrapped for the first 2 years, then in 2021, he secured a seed round investment of $3M at a $40M valuation. He currently runs the engineering, product, and design teams while spending about one-third of his time in the codebase. Dustin is the father of two children, a computer science graduate of Brigham Young University, and an active member of charitable events for Cystic Fibrosis.
