  • Northern Royals 2.0

With their unique combination of small-town roots and big city sound, Winnipeg alt-rockers Northern Royals have come to conquer your radio, your streaming service, and your local stage. After years of putting in work as critically-acclaimed rock foursome The Autopilots, a change of name and a perfected lineup have given Northern Royals a fresh new outlook and a new mission: to rise to the top of the thriving western Canada rock scene. Evan, Kendra and Kyle join us to breakdown the band’s songwriting process, share the details behind their upcoming album and laugh the whole time. All pre-recorded music has been removed from this episode. The set list originally featured in this episode: Northern Royals “Falling“ single, “Draw The Line“, and “Timebomb“ from 10 cent Lemonade. • Veneer (ft. Special Guest Host: Graeme Houssin)

Veneer’s enchanting trifecta of sentimental souls create a universe of music that is soft, strong, and blatantly vulnerable. This multi-instrumental gaggle of creators is not your typical three-piece; accompanied by brass and woodwind instrumentals, and wielding six instruments in total, Veneer’s enticing harmonies and haunting hooks will have their tunes stuck in your head for days. All pre-recorded music has been removed from this episode. The set list originally featured in this episode: Veneer “Unsure”, “Don’t Get My Hair Wet", and “Bianca Casual” from the self-titled EP. | For more local music, check out the Winnipeg Music Project website. • Screaming At Traffic 2.0

Screaming at Traffic is a punk rock band from Winnipeg, Mb, made up of Jacques Richer, Duncan Murta, Paul Colman, and Stefan St. Godard. Their no frills emo-punk riffing add to the group's frenzied live performance and raw yet melodic songwriting.

While filming the interview in a park in downtown Winnipeg, this interview includes the occasional question from the public. Shout out to Trudy for the great questions. Not all of them could make it in due to the audio quality, but if you’re ready this you are appreciated! All pre-recorded music has been removed from this episode. The set list originally featured in this episode: Screaming At Traffic “Pantomime“, “She’s Going Down“, “They Call Me Thrillhouse“ from I Don’t Like Sports. | For more local music, check out the Winnipeg Music Project website. • Paige Drobot

Paige Drobot considers herself a stream of consciousness artist. She believes that pure art is a gift from an entity larger than her and happens once she can achieve zero thought. Zero thought is achieved by allowing the soul to be totally uninhibited, so that the spirit can translate her emotions to art.

All pre-recorded music has been removed from this episode.

The set list originally featured in this episode: Paige Drobot “Wonder“, “She’s Going Down“, and “Get Over It“ from Zero Thought. | For more local music, check out the Winnipeg Music Project website. • Jacob Brodovsky

Jacob Brodovsky is a singer-songwriter patently from Winnipeg, Canada. Jacob transforms stories of mundane people and places into emotional, driving tunes with straightforward yet smart lyricism. He falls into the beloved line of uniquely Winnipeg folk-based, talk-singing, moody-Manitobans. His memorable melodies and emotive tunes are toe-tapping enough to be enjoyed at face value, though, it is difficult not to divulge in the quarter life crisis of a 26-year-old with a knack for making you feel the most subdued of feelings.

All pre-recorded music has been removed from this episode. The set list originally featured in this episode:

Jacob Brodovsky “Bachelor Suite“, “Sev“, “El Nino ft. Sierra Noble“ from Sixteen Years. | For more local music, check out the Winnipeg Music Project website. Thank you to UMFM 101.5FM. Music by Will and Art from Collector Studio. Transition contributed by Tristan Zaba from ZABA.

  • Warming

Trading in a white picket fence for living out of a van, synthpop artist Brady Allard is the multi-instrumentalist behind Winnipeg’s Warming. His music began to take form of an obsession when he left his job, his house and his partner of a decade. While living out of a van, he wrote the 12 song LP - a lush, driving mix of 80’s inspired pop, twisted synth noises, lonely arrangements and memories of his former life. All pre-recorded music has been removed from this episode. The set list originally featured in this episode: Warming "White Lies", "Did It Again" and "Wasting Time."
