Recorded on December 14, 2024, at the dogtrot on the Way Out West Deck, this is the sound of a winter bird chorus during a light rain at the first of Halcyon Days. A blizzard of Dark-eyed Juncos takes center stage, countersinging and calling with their distinctive 'tew-tew-tew' notes near the feeders. Joining them are the cheerful voices of Tufted Titmice, Northern Cardinals, House Finches and Carolina Chickadees.
