Sl: Matej in Nina sta se sprehajala po Ljubljani v mrzlem zimskem popoldnevu.
En: Matej and Nina were taking a walk through Ljubljana on a cold winter afternoon.

Sl: Zunaj je bil december, mesto je sijalo v božičnih lučeh.
En: It was December outside, and the city was glowing with Christmas lights.

Sl: Na poti proti Dragonovemu mostu je Matej pogledoval na uro.
En: On their way toward Dragon's Bridge, Matej kept glancing at his watch.

Sl: Vedel je, da mora ujeti vlak, da pride pravočasno domov.
En: He knew he had to catch the train to get home on time.

Sl: "Počakaj malo, Matej," je rekla Nina, ko sta se približevala mostu, "poglej vse te čudovite lučke in okraske.

Sl: "Matej je bil nervozen, a ugotovil je, da je bolje, kot da naredi prizor, če se pridruži nastopu.

Sl: Kljub hladni zimi v zraku je bil Matejev nasmeh topel.
En: Despite the chilly winter air, Matej's smile was warm.

Sl: Nastopač je stal za njima, in zven njegove smeha je izginil v številnih drugih glasovih Ljubljane, vsi po vrsti še z nekoliko božične čarovnije.
