Listener Submission: "I have not been in Louisiana long and am trying to fit in but I am having a hard time with the degree of urgency with our weather. All of my friends are running to the grocery store like Y2K. Y'all panicked?! My friends think I'm not taking this seriously. Should I be at the grocery store and not sending you two this message? Kidding, not kidding."
As the area doesn't receive this weather often, many people are unprepared and get a little enthusiastic! That being said, it's better "to be a fool 50 times than be fatally wrong once". We broke down this question, and discussed some winter weather safety with the Mamas, Teri Spinks Netterville and Denise Vinson Arthur, on last night's "What Would Mama Do?"
Important: If you see an animal in need in this freezing weather, bring them in or call Caddo Animal Control at 318-226-6624.
