- dj lukewarm - Ryuchi Sakamoto Tribute MixWe recently lost one of our greatest composers of modern times: Ryuichi Sakamoto. He’s composed timeless soundtracks, innovated and pioneered so many genres, collaborated with some of the best, founded the synth pop group Yellow Magic Orchestra, and so much more in his 40+ year career. Even if you don’t recognize the name, you’ll recognize his works. This tribute mix touches on some of my favorite pieces by him, from David Bowie and David Byrne soundtracks to modern movies like The Revenant. Hope you enjoy.01 - Ryuichi Sakamoto - Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence [Virgin]02 - Electric Youth - Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence (Electric Youth Remodel) [Milan]03 - Peatu - Snowfall04 - Ryuichi Sakamoto - Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence (Adiren Aubrun Private Remix)05 - David Byrne & Ryuichi Sakamoto - The Last Emperor (lukewarm dub)06 - Ryuichi Sakamoto & Kotringo - Bar [Commmons]07 - Ryuichi Sakamoto - Sayonara [Virgin Japan]08 - Ryuichi Sakamoto & Kazumi Watanabe - I'll Be There [Better Days]09 - Ryuichi Sakamoto - We Love You (12" DNA Remix) [Virgin]10 - Ryuichi Sakamoto - You Do Me (Remix) [Hits]11 - Yellow Magic Orchestra - Firecracker [SMEJ]12 - Ryuichi Sakamoto - Self Portrait [School]13 - Ryuichi Sakamoto - Sowing The Seed [Virgin]14 - Ryuichi Sakamoto & Kotringo - La Seine [Commmons]15 - Ryuichi Sakamoto - Aqua (Aichi) [Commmons]16 - Ryuichi Sakamoto - Bibo No Aozora [Milan]17 - Ryuichi Sakamoto & Taeko Onuki - Bibo No Aozora [Commmons]18 - Ryuichi Sakamoto - The Revenant Main Theme [Milan]19 - Ryuichi Sakamoto - Energy Flow [Commmons]20 - Ryuichi Sakamoto - Lost Theme [Warner Music]21 - Ryuichi Sakamoto & Taeko Onuki - Sambiki no Kuma [Commmons]22 - Ryuichi Sakamoto - Manatsunoyorunoana [For Life Records]23 - Ryuichi Sakamoto - Seven Samurai - Ending Theme [Trax Sampler Italy]24 - Ryuichi Sakamoto - Self Portrait [Decca]25 - Ryuichi Sakamoto - Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence (Tokyo) [Commmons]Hope you enjoy.-dj lukewarmhttps://linktr.ee/djlukewarmhttp://djlukewarm.comhttp://hearthis.at/djlukewarmhttp://www.mixcloud.com/djlukewarmhttp://djlukewarm.podomatic.comhttps://soundcloud.com/wiscojazzhttp://www.youtube.com/WiscoJazzCastRSS: http://djlukewarm.podomatic.com/rss2.xmlSakamoto-san, yasuraka ni nemutte kudasai1 hr 24 min

- WiscoJazz-Cast: Episode 189 [BEST OF 2022]Here's my favorite tracks from 2022. This will be a long(er) post, but given the importance and reflective nature of this mix, I'd like to explain what is behind this mix. Each year I put together a 'best of' mix for the year. This isn't a typical "year end round up list" that many put together. When I pick out tracks to include in these 'best of' mixes, I'm not always selecting tracks that I consider to be 'the best produced', or 'the highest grossing', or what 'I listened to the most', or 'what the algorithm suggested'. These are special tracks that signified a meaningful moment in my life over this past year and they were the soundtrack to that moment. The moments could range from something like reminiscing with friends, to a soundtrack to a show I couldn't get enough of, to tracks that ignited a dancefloor, to tracks that I couldn't stop listening to no matter how hard I tried. This is a mix of feelings. Only music can do that. We're so lucky to be able to communicate in this way - to bottle up feelings and have them transferred to you via this thing we call music. In the hands of DJs - who can orchestrate music to take you on a journey of FEELS - that is some next level ish right there. You now know what these 'best of' mixes are about. Here are my favorite tracks from 2022.01 - SAULT - Valley of the Ocean [Forever Living Originals]02 - Aviators - Sun Creatures [Music For Dreams]03 - Santino Surfers - Looking At A Strange World [Music For Dreams]04 - Shy FX & Liam Bailey - Come Around Slowly [Digital Soundboy]05 - James Bright - Totem [NuNorthern Soul]06 - Darius feat.
