Wisconsin Public Service Commission cuts solar power red tape

A joint committee in the state Legislature no longer has the power to indefinitely block administrative rules, after the state Supreme Court sided with the governor in a separation of powers dispute this summer.
The decision paved the way for a change to the Public Service Commission’s Rule 113, which regulates solar power installation in Wisconsin apartment buildings.
Dr. Ciaran Gallagher is the Energy and Air Manager at Clean Wisconsin. She tells our News Producer Faye Parks that the policy updates could expand access to solar energy in our state.
