  • Why Are We Not Happier in This Fast-Everything Culture
Chinese New Year is this coming Tuesday, and it’s a whole week’s holiday in China. However, if you read some posts on news or social media channels currently, there’s a consensus that the excitement and the taste of Chinese New Year is among the lowest in history. Why?

  • I Heard Someone Shovelling Snow The Night Before
I was reading a book in bed this past Sunday night at 11pm, and heard someone shovelling snow outside. I didn’t bother to look out of the window, though I knew the weather report said that there’ll be very heavy snowfall that night into Monday. I finished reading and just went into sleep. Let’s have a listen together!

  • Time Is Our Best Friend
Last Christmas I was at my brother’s. It’s been almost a year since I saw my teenager nephew last time. He already grew taller than his mother, and nearly as tall as my brother. He looks quite different than before, though it’s just a year’s gap. His parents were not as surprised as I was, but to me his height seemed a big leap. Let’s have a listen together!

  • We Start Because We See and We Stop Because We Don't See
There was once a TV show featuring some individuals who could perform extraordinary actions while the audience was all fascinated. Once a guy was locked in a metal container which was then sunk under the water, but somehow within four minutes he managed to escape and showed up himself standing on a very tall construction crane. Let’s have a listen together!

  • You Upgrade Your Phone Apps Constantly But How Often Do You Upgrade Your Brain
10 Years ago I bought a new tablet, and ever since then I noticed there was constantly a small circle with numbers in it on some app icons, telling me there was a newer version and to do an upgrade. So gradually I either set it up as to upgrade automatically or choose to do it manually and individually. Nowadays some apps even force you to upgrade, or it will not even let you use it. After driving in a car for a few hours on the road, you feel tired already. As a matter of fact, all you’ve done is turning the steering wheel, shifting gears, pressing on pedals, and watching the traffics. • Santa Is Not Here So Take a Picture with the Tree

  • Your Comfort Zone Is Your Mind Trap
On a sunny November day I walked to a local hardware store and bought a new portable tire inflator. I was eager to give it a try, so I tested it right after I walked back. It didn’t even start pumping once, it just remained quiet. I tried another socket in the trunk of my car, and still not even a sound. Let’s have a listen together!
