Friends give us counsel, guidance, and comfort. God paid the price to be our friend when He gave His Son up for us. The wisdom from above warns us against the false friendship of the world, friendship that appeals to the desires of our flesh. God offers us friendship that satisfies and gives life to our souls. (Jas 4; Jn 15).
