The truth is simple but challenging: friendship with the world means enmity with God. We can't earn righteousness through our own efforts—we can only receive it through Christ. God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. When we stop trying to sit on the throne of our own lives and submit to Him, that's when real transformation begins.
