Yes ,it looks contradictory but that is how it is. Until you understand the whole thing looks mystical.But in reality it is just an awakening to the truth.

How to solve the problems which are our own creation due to lack of understanding.

Dissolving in to the Infinite through vision of the self is as though dissolving, because the division is not true. Everything is as though only. Just for the sake of saying only.Just as the rope is mistaken for snake then once you gain the vision the snake dissolves in to the rope.As though it dissolves.Vedanta is the pramana for showing this fact about this reality about the self alone is capable of being in this form of the universe and its reality is as good as the mistaken snake which appears in a rope for an ignorant.Knoledge alone can wake up the ignorant and make them free of the fear caused by the ignorance.

Even when we think that our pursuit is to make others happy , the reality behind this is an attempt to see the pleased self. The pleased self is not away from me. It is always there but one has to discover it. Not experientially but being awake to its own real nature which is full and complete beyond any limitations. This limitless existence alone is the basis of all happiness which we experience. This infinite existence when unmanifest it is fullness and when manifest it is happiness.

what is God?,where is God?,How is God? and Who is God? etc..etc.. are the questions generally asked by people. Because they have already concluded that God is not Here.So they put God safely somewhere else in a place and within time.These are the concepts which originates from erroneous perception of the reality. To see the reality we need to know and to know anything we need a means of knowedge. We will find it here. As a seeker one must have that intellectual honesty to reshuffle ones own thinking and has got to expose to the Vedantic teachings. For that to happen one need not be a philosopher, poiet or a thinker. Just have an intense desire to know the truth about oneself. So the pursuit of self knowledge must be the predominant thing. One can give up the resistence to facts only in the recognition of the presence of "iswara" in the form of this one vast order that pervades everything and obtained as this moment.

You have a choice with reference to karma but not with the results. Your actions as an offering to the lord will be the right attitude to Manage "raga" and "dvesha". which is possible if one has got the vision of karma yoga.The yoga of attitudes.
