It is certain and appointed for you that you will die, so you should enjoy your life while you have it as you live with God's wisdom guiding you. - Whether righteous or wicked, it is appointed by God that you will die (9:1–6). - Since it is appointed by God that you will die, you should humbly obey God's commands to enjoy life from His hand (9:7–10). - Though you cannot predict when God has appointed for you to die, you would do well to live in God's wisdom until you do (9:11–16).

We live, and with many times without ever feeling like we make a difference. But if we are faithful there is the promise of fruit if we live in wisdom. The peace we offer in our lives provides the ground for the seeds of righteousness to be sown. And there are results that will come from it.
