Friends Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one goes to the Father, but by Him. On today's podcast we will continue our study of scriptures that can guide your life. Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. On today's lesson we will be going over Proverb 11. I will then key in on two verses - verse 6 - The righteousness of the upright will deliver them, But the unfaithful will be caught by their lust & verse 8 - The righteous is delivered from trouble, And it comes to the wicked instead. Friends, on today's podcast I will briefly review the two verses that I went over on Monday's podcast (if you did not get a chance to listen to Monday's podcast, it was Episode 701). We went over John 3:16 and 1 John 4:verse 17. I encouraged everyone to get a notebook and write these scripture verses down. I will then continue by going over two new verses. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Knowing scripture well will benefit you greatly.

2. When satan comes after you to tempt you, you will now have the ability to resist him.

3. The righteousness of the upright will deliver them.

I will then key in on verse 7 - He who corrects a scoffer gets shame for himself, And he who rebukes a wicked man only harms himself. Friends, a scoffer is going to be an unbeliever - someone who has not received Jesus into his/her heart. You should not waste your time trying to convince them about Jesus. On today's lesson I will be going over two scripture verses that I believe it would be beneficial to write down and begin keeping a notebook (or journal) of scripture verses. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. God loves us more than anyone else can.

2. We are to live our lives as Jesus did.

3. He who corrects a scoffer gets shame for himself.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. On today's podcast we will be going over Proverb 6. I will then key in on verses 26b-29. These verses speak of someone who has adultery with another man's wife. Prior to that happening there was some covetousness going on. These verses explain what will happen if you allow yourself to go through covetous thoughts. On today's lesson we will complete our study of the 10 commandments. Today we will be covering the 10th commandment. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. You shall not covet.

2. If you will give me a son, I will give him to the Lord.

3. The child ministered to the Lord before Eli the priest.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over Proverb 5. I will then go over the first 20 verses. This chapter is entitled "The Peril of Adultery." Friends, If you follow the commands given in Proverb 2 & Proverb 4 (which we went over on Monday & Wednesday) you will have the ammunition you need to withstand the temptation that can come from a seductress (or crafty harlot). They can, at first, appear very appealing - but when you think of the devastation that they can inflict on your life, I think you'll agree it would be a wise decision to avoid these types of encounters at all costs to you. By the end of today's lesson there are three things I ask that you consider:

1. Wisdom & understanding will preserve you.

2. Stay away from the temptation of sexual sin.

3. Drink water from your own cistern.

Call to Action - Orally declare that you will not do what David did - when he took another man's wife, slept with her, made her pregnant, and then had her husband killed.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. On today's podcast we will be going over Proverb 4. I will then focus on the first 13 verses of this beautiful proverb. In this proverb Solomon (inspired by the Holy Spirit) pleads with us to obtain wisdom in our lives. He tells us it is the principal thing, and we should do all we can to get it.

Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will be going over proverb 3. I will then introduce you to my special guest for the day - Sarah Mae. Sarah is a graduate from Charis Bible College, and recently spent a year ministering to Indians on an Indian reservation in the state of Wyoming. She was on previously on the March 14th, 2023 podcast. I would highly recommend that anyone listening today would go back and check out that podcast as well. In addition, Sarah has graciously accepted the invitation to become a regular contributor to this podcast. That means that she will be on every five to six months - so please look for her name (you won't want to miss anything she has to say)! On today's podcast she will share the verse that spoke to her today from Proverb 3. She will then share what God has been speaking to her lately. She will talk about her call to go into jails and minister to this "forgotten" population. Many people tend to forget these people even exist, but Sarah has a passion for these people and regular makes a point to minister to these people. Finally, she will take us back to her time that she spent on the Indian reservation. She talks about her two sons adapted to this new way of life. She also talks about the reality of the lives this population (native Americans) live. There is much alcohol and drugs and it is not uncommon to have a death from either of these every week.
