Before you use all your extra money to put towards paying off your credit card, or towards your saving goal.... there is ONE THING you NEED TO HAVE IN PLACE beforehand….an Emergency FUND!  I dive into WHY you need one and HOW much you need (for a starter emergency fund AND a fully funded 3 to 6 months expenses emergency fund) to give you a buffer between your checking account and EMERGENCIES!    TRUST ME it's worth pressing pausing on your money goals because having an emergency fund will give you PEACE, security, and STAMINA to keep you pushing towards your goals long term!
