Wishful Booking

SummerSlam'17 is in the books, folks. Join us in discussing the entire card + the shape of the 'E in it's grandios wake. We here on this feed were so moved by SSlam that we open this weeks pod in the best way possible, by first, uncharacteristically reviewing NXT Takeover. Now THAT was a GREAT show. Main roster talk begins at 18:58 .. Meanwhile, the month ahead on RAW seems merciless whereas Smackdown's calendar is conspicuously ppv-less. In other words, get used to the phrase: "biggest match in SD history".. Aaand, SummerSlam was, statistically speaking, a really good night to challenge for titles, to say the least. And THAT's the last you'll hear of 'the least'..

We've made it to episode 20 just in time for SummerSlam. What better way to celebrate than previewing the card and offering up some dangerously naive hopes for the event? This week we run thru go home tv & take a last look at the promise of what could be come Monday night. We're definitely not just spinning our wheels on the same re-worded opinions we've been discussing for weeks now. Lots new to unpack. Baron Corbin cashed in his MITB briefcase, Seth & Dean found a reason to fist again, loads more! Statistically speaking our predictions are well-educated & our booking would often times a better card make. Enjoy the show!

This weeks pod is fully loaded in anticipation for SummerSlam '17, just 2 weeks away. The already inticing Universal Championship fatal 4-way match is given another interesting wrinkle whereby Lesnar could ultimately* be headed back to wrestlings 'legitimate' counterpart, MMA. On SD Live, the artist soon to be known as big match-Shinsuke earns the right to face the present day punjab prince himself, Jinder Mahal, for Smackdowns top(?) prize. We also take a look back at this strange-yet-entertaining past week of tv.

So last weekends Battleground ppv happened, to put it kindly. It was... not a good show. You know it. We know it. WWE know it, that is if follow-up tv since has been any indication, at least. (It has.) That said, this episode of the pod is largely spent gleefully picking the bones of Battleground whilst remaining cautiously optimistic about the Summer of Slam '17. All likely matches at this time are on the table; in certain cases may induce scratching of the head. Spoilers likely afoot. Enjoy the poetry, Mark.
