Welcome Witches to Witchcraft from A to Z, your go-to witchy podcast for finding the magic hidden among the mundane! My name is Elaine Evergreen, a practicing witch of over 15 years now and I'll be your host this week. I hope you all had a beautiful and cozy Yule and that your New Year has started off auspiciously. Thank you all for your continued support while I took a little break to relax after my wedding, celebrate my birthday, and enjoy the holiday festivities with my family and loved ones.
Now that I’m back from my little holiday hiatus, lets talk about stars and using them in your magical practice.
The stars have guided humans of all cultures throughout their time on earth. We’ve all heard people joke about mercury being in retrograde and it negatively impacting our lives. But the stars can do more than that. Some believe that the stars can tell you about your future, predict the personality of a child, predict the rule or end of the reign of kings and queens, and it can tell you where you are in the world. Sometimes they fall, granting you wishes if you’re so lucky to see it. So this week's episode is all about how you can use stars in your magical practice.

This week's episode is all about rice. Rice is perfect for a lot of great stuff right? It’s the ultimate food for an upset and sensitive stomach, very healing and comforting. Plus its inexpensive and incredibly accessible as one of, if not the, world’s most eaten foods. You can even find little rice spells used by the everyday person. Think rice tossed towards couples who just got married for blessing of fertility and prosperity.

This episode is all about the aspects of witchcraft that many of us are attracted to and how it all intersects with the LGBTQ+ community.
Now, one thing about the witchcraft community that I, and many others, have noticed a long while ago is the heavy representation of the LGBTQ+ community in the witchcraft community. In fact, a Pew Research Center study in 2015 found that twice as many queer adults say they identify as a member of a non-christian faith group such as paganism than the general population. It seems that when many organized religions and cultures around the world take away power from and discredit people they deem less than or other, those very same people gravitate towards communities that uplift, empower, and embrace those who don’t fit the status quo. Enter - the witchcraft, pagan, and alternative spirituality communities.Support this Podcast:

Since it is the first week of October and we happened upon the letter P for this week’s episode, I could not pass up the opportunity to cover Pumpkins as a magical tool. This is the time of year where Florida is finally getting a taste of cooler weather and I can actually open the windows, or spend any amount of time outside without risk of heat stroke, so needless to say I am very excited. Pumpkins are always the first thing I pick up once the weather starts to cool as they double as adorable decorations, edible goodies, and magical tools. Pumpkins are associated with wishes, abundance, fertility, love, protection, banishing, prosperity, creativity, growth, harvest, home, the element water, and many lunar and Celtic deities. So get your pumpkin carving kits out and let’s make some magic.

This episode is all about oats and how you can incorporate this hearty grain into your magical practice.
Oats are a fairly overlooked magical ingredient for new witches and odds are, you have some in your pantry. They are inexpensive, readily available, hearty, healthy, filling, and versatile as a food staple.

This episode is all about nails, both nails made of keratin and those made of metal, and how you can incorporate these easily attainable materials for your magical practice.
Let’s start with our keratin-based nails, which come free of cost and are often disposed of anyways, so why not use them for magical purposes!

Welcome Witches to Witchcraft from A to Z, your go-to witchy podcast for finding the magic hidden among the mundane! My name is Elaine Evergreen, a practicing witch of over 15 years now and I'll be your host this week. This episode is all about milk and how you can incorporate this creamy beverage into your magical makings!
Milk is deeply connected with life itself. It is the first food of humans and other mammals. It was and still is a staple and a lifeline of nutritious calorie dense sustenance in many cultures. And it has been revered enough by humans to be a food of the gods, frequently given as gifts of devotion and worship. Milk has also been a symbol of power and love throughout history, and even milk that has been turned into butter or cheese has power as can be seen through the internet famous image of a page in a book about spells, charms, and incantations which states “you may fascinate a woman by giving her a piece of cheese.”

My name is Elaine Evergreen, a practicing witch of over 15 years now and I'll be your host this week. This episode is all about licorice and how you can incorporate this commonly candied root into your magical makings!
Like pineapple on pizza, this polarizing root is either loved or hated by many. Licorice was one of the first candies made by humans and has been used to treat sore throats, cough, shortness of breath, certain viral infections, eczema, inflammation of the follicles, tooth decay, bad breath, and low blood pressure. But Licorice is not just a flavor for sweets, it is a medicine and a powerful tool for the witch in all of us.

Welcome Witches to Witchcraft from A to Z, your go-to witchy podcast for finding the magic hidden among the mundane! My name is Elaine Evergreen, a practicing witch of over 15 years now and I'll be your host this week. This episode is all about juniper berries and how you can incorporate these ancient berries into your magical practice!
Happy Lammas or Lughnasadh everyone!
Juniper berries are not really something that is used much anymore, however, if you’re a fan of the Skyrim series you may have heard a quote or two about juniper berries being used in mead. Juniper berries, which are not actually berries, are the seed cones from the Juniper plant, are used as a spice in cooking. Magically, juniper berries have been used throughout Europe as incense, hung on doors to protect homes, burned during exorcisms, worn for protection, used in love spells, and used to break curses and hexes.
