There are two mysteries in the Bible the mystery of iniquity and the mystery of godliness in Christ we will explore that a little bit this morning.

When we realize our need in honest self-assessment, we will be drawn to seek Christ and his righteousness.

He marks every tear: he is touched with the feeling of our infirmities, all the afflictions and trials that befall us here are permitted, to work out his purposes of Love toward us, that we might be partakers of his holiness, and thus become participants in that fullness of joy which is found in his presence.

How hard it must have been for Jesus to have such desire to share knowledge with his disciples and not be able to. In John 16:12 he says I have yet many things to say unto you but you cannot bear them now. What about me?

Because we are the gift of his father and the reward of his work Jesus loves us. He loves us as his children. He says I am with you.

Throughout the period of probationary time God's spirit is in treating men to accept the gift of life. It is Satan's special device to lead men into sin and then leave him there helpless and hopeless fearing to seek for pardon.

God is love. like rays of light from the sun love and light and joy flow out from him to all his creatures. His law is a transcript of his character.

The Eastern Shepherd does not drive his sheep. He depends not upon for us or fear; but going before he calls them. They know his voice and obey the call.

God has given to men a declaration of his character, and of his method of dealing with sin. The power and authority of the Divine government will be employed to put down rebellion; yet all the retributive justice will be perfectly consistent with the character of God as a merciful, long suffering, benevolent being.

For those who thus lay hold of the Divine assurances of God's word, there are wonderful possibilities. Before them lie vast fields of truth, vast resources of power. Glorious things are to be revealed.
