When times are difficult, it’s easy to get lost in the here and now, and not see the bigger picture. With the pandemic continuing to dominate our lives, the discussion about black lives may feel like it’s fallen down the agenda.
Visual Artist Àsìkò has a unique perspective on this. He has a British and a Nigerian background; he answers to two names; he’s lived unaware of his skin colour, and all too aware of it.
The Freudcast caught up with Àsìkò to reflect on the previous twelve months where he portrayed the world-changing events we’ve all lived through.
