This week we are showing contractors who buy, fix up and sell properties. We will see both private sales and bank owned foreclosure properties. We make an appointment now under new safety guidelines. We go into these distressed homes with caution. Sometimes holes in the floor or rotten decks are hazards to be aware of. Some people think buying at auction at the court house steps, or through an auction broker is the best way to buy. The disadvantage is that you don't see the inside of a house. You can only drive by and look from the outside. Most people dont realize that all foreclosures get listed on our Multiple listing service. Once they go back to bank owned, the bank has them listed by a broker on the multiple listing service. Bank owned are after foreclosure. Shortsales or before foreclosure also come onto our multiple listing service. So there are two types... before foreclosure /bank owned or after foreclosure/shortsales. Call us to see these distressed homes.
