When a witness gives testimony in court, the opposing counsel can cross-examine him to test whether or not he is a reliable witness. It is possible to mistake the voice of the devil or the voice of self for the voice of God. We must cross-examine every spiritual experience by the Word of God to make sure it conforms to divine truth.
