Henry McKinley "Mickey" Michaux Jr. was a state representative for more than 40 years and a close personal friend of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Thanks to his mother's cooking, as Mickey likes to joke, Dr. King would stay at his house every time he visited the Durham area. Mickey says he was also not far from Dr. King when he gave his "I Have a Dream" speech in August of 1963 in Washington, D.C. Mickey sits down with Tim to discuss his time with King, his friendship with Wilmington native and former legendary Boston Celtics shooting guard, Sam Jones, and his views on the current state of the country.
