    By Holy Spirit, Paul emphasized that LORD Jesus destroyed the hatred that was between Jews and Gentile through His death on the cross. Jesus made the two one in Himself and will present them as one body, His Church to God His Father.

    The religious leaders’ arrest of Paul demonstrated their continuous effort to kill God’s righteous servants. Holy Spirit gave Paul wisdom to speak to his hostile Jewish brothers and sisters about the resurrection of our LORD Jesus Christ. This claim infuriated the Sadducees who did not believe in the resurrection, angels, or spirits. Their counterparts, however, the Pharisees believed in the resurrection of the body, angels, and spirits. Paul’s claim brought about a great schism between the two sects. During their commotion, God had the Roman soldiers to rescue Paul from his hostile Jewish brothers and sisters. Later that night, Paul would receive a divine visit from our LORD Jesus Christ who told him that he will go to Rome.

    Salvation is such a beautiful and priceless gift from God our Father and Jesus Christ our LORD. Paul explains by Holy Spirit that such a gift cannot be earned because it a gift that was given at the Father’s discretion of grace by His, Holy Son, Jesus. Faith in God’s Son, Jesus, is the conduit in which God uses to give every person this precious gift of salvation which is eternal life. No matter how hard people work to please God, they cannot earn God’s favor of salvation. Works void out the cross of Christ. Since the cross of Christ is a living reality, so is His precious gift of salvation which cannot be earned.

    LORD Jesus had spoken to Paul at his conversion that he would stand before kings and Gentiles. Paul had just been accosted by a hostile crowd in the temple complex. Roman soldiers had to rescue him from their hands. LORD Jesus’ prophecies to Paul about him speaking before kings is now underway.

    LORD Jesus has closed the door on salvation. Those who are saved are saved, and those who are lost are lost. Every human is now standing before King Jesus. He is not the carpenter son, but the King of kings. Every human knows at this moment that the One who died on the cross is, in fact, the Son of the living God.
