The American Song Contest — a sort of Eurovision in the United States — has been confirmed! Celebrated producers Ben Silverman and Swedish TV maestro Christer Björkman are leading the charge. No network / broadcaster is confirmed yet, but lots of you are wondering if a streaming service like Netflix may be interested. It's hoped all 50 states will compete and that an American Song Academy will oversee the selection of contestants with the semi-finals and grand final taking some place in the holiday season of 2021. That's the big takeaway from our chat with Eurovision alum Susanne Georgi, who has secured a verbal agreement from Andorra's government for the country's comeback.
