Leigh joined 309 students, staff and community members in signing a petition calling for the college to allow professors to take steps to minimize the number of students in classrooms, decrease risk and create more safety protocols in classrooms.
She had her first class this past Tuesday. With a small classroom and 35 students, there was no space for social distancing, so she held her class outside from the back of her Subaru.
"Going to campus yesterday was absolutely terrifying, I did not feel safe in my classroom. I'm so anxious and traumatized by the way these concerns are being handled."
