Some Christians argue that what we believe about Genesis is just a side issue. It doesn’t really matter if we take Genesis as history or not. But did you know all our major Christian doctrines are grounded in Genesis?

Why do we sin? Why did Jesus have to die? Why do we need a new heavens and earth? Why is marriage for a man and a woman? These questions, and others, are only fully answered by starting in the history in Genesis.

What we believe about Genesis is really important! We need to take God’s Word as it was written and that means taking Genesis as history. Only then can we build a true biblical worldview.

The seeds of faith you plant today may bear fruit years—or even decades—from now.
