Indiana Avenue in the Town of Sheboygan will be reconstructed from South 24th Street to Esslingen Park, which is located west of the South Taylor Drive Beltline. The project will reduce the number of traffic lanes from four lanes to two, which will be consistent with the rest of the corridor that stretches from Lake Michigan to Sheboygan Falls.

Changes are coming to Sheboygan’s very first Kwik Trip store. Kwik Trip Central, located at 1618 Calumet Drive in Sheboygan’s Kuehne Park neighborhood, will get a facelift after the City of Sheboygan Plan Commission approved the company’s plans last month.

Noodles & Company on Sheboygan’s west side will not be an option for dinner for the foreseeable future. Noodles & Company, located at 555 South Taylor Drive, began closing their doors at 4 PM on weekdays and will close at 3 PM on Saturday and Sunday.

St. Nicholas Hospital purchased property on Sheboygan’s south side for what could possibly be a clinic or urgent care center. Last summer, St. Nicholas Hospital purchased the former Maple Lanes Bowling Funplex, located at 3107 South Business Drive in Sheboygan. After acquiring the 24,418-square-foot bowling alley, the hospital filed a demolition permit with the City of Sheboygan in December 2020.

Viking Masek Packaging Technologies, a leading manufacturer of innovative automated packaging systems, recently announced a new president.

The Oostburg-based company named Robb Leonhard as its new president. He succeeds Rick Leonhard, his brother and Viking Masek’s co-founder, who passed away in July 2021.

Plans for the Pentecostals of Sheboygan County to relocate to Sheboygan's south side have been delayed.

In November 2017, the Pentecostals of Sheboygan County were granted a Conditional Use Permit from the city's Plan Commission to open a church in the Southtown Mall at South Business Drive and Washington Avenue. The church had sought to relocate to the former Goodwill store.

The City of Sheboygan recently announced the winners of the April 2021 call for artists for designs to be placed on utility boxes.

Over 25 applications were submitted with various works of art. A review committee represented by the John Michael Kohler Art Center, the Sheboygan Area School District, Visit Sheboygan, the Department of Public Works and the Department of Planning & Development ranked the applications.

During the early morning hours on Wednesday, August 18th and Wednesday August 25, smash and grab style burglaries occurred on North 8th Street in Downtown Sheboygan. Both businesses are retail dispensaries for Hemp Derived CBD products. In both cases the suspect(s) fled on foot from the area.
