Most of the 60’s Broadway shows were light entertainment. There were a few that veered into a more dramatic tone like “Fiddler”, “Camelot”, “Cabaret” and “Man of La Mancha”, but, overall the mood was upbeat and very often hilarious. We’re continuing our series of bringing you songs from shows that got us into the theater and hope you find them as entertaining as we do!

Wednesday’s program featured the musical talents of children’s entertainer Mr. Aaron. Mr. Aaron is the driving force behind the Third Annual Kids Music Fest on Saturday, September 12 from 9:30 AM to 2:30 on New Hampshire State House Lawn in Concord.

Tuesday we featured a potpourri version of the program with topics ranging from Pink Cadillacs (on Pink Cadillac Day) to local road races to the 2003 movie “Stuck on You” plus a lot of random thoughts in between on National No Rhyme or Reason Day!

Do you believe in magic? Well someone did back in the 60’s (at least we called it “magic”) and we have the songs to prove it. We didn’t have to dig very deep for most these since the theme of magic seemed pretty pervasive (hmmmm, I wonder why?). Our playlist consists of songs like “Fire”, “Whiter Shade of Pale”, “Spooky”, “Magic Carpet Ride” plus a few other VERY well known songs and artists.

New England sports was the focus of Monday’s program as we chatted with correspondent John Leahy about a controversial play in Sunday’s Red Sox-Yankees game in New York and the National Football League’s recent decision to eliminate the Pro Bowl. Also, we spoke  with University of New Hampshire head football coach Sean Goldrich  about the Wildcats’ opening night loss to Albany last Friday and the upcoming game on Saturday at Syracuse.
