He made ,he made his NHL debut,n the 2005–06 season and would go on to have a great rookie season, in which he played 47 games and getting 40 points (16 goals and 24 assists) including a team-high plus-minus rating of +15, He no stranger to international play as he was a member of Canada's 2007 IIHF World Championship-winning team. His only goal of the tournament was the game-winning goal in the gold medal game against Finland in Moscow, which Canada won 4–2. He had over 15,000 career points averaging 15.8 points per game over a 14 year career.Chick Hearn dubbed him the “Fall Back Baby” because of the way he shot his great jump shot (he actually kicked both of his legs out when shooting his jump shot). Reggie WIlliams was a third round Draft pick of the Cincinnati Bengals, in the 1976 Draft, He would go on to play for the Bengals for 14 seasons,[including two Super Bowls Super Bowl 16 in 1981 and 23 in 1988.

He recorded 16 interceptions and 23 fumble recoveries (a franchise record). During his career He amassed 62.5 sacks, which is the second most in Bengals history. In his final two seasons with the Bengals, He was appointed to an open seat on the Cincinnati City Council in 1988 and was elected for a second term in 1989 He has received numerous honors, including selection to the NFL All-Rookie Team (1976), the Byron "Whizzer" White Award for Humanitarian Service (1985), the NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year Award (1986), and Sports Illustrated's Co-Sportsman of the Year (1987).
