Henrik Lundqvist made 32 saves in the contest to earn his 19th win of the season. Lundqvist became the first Rangers goaltender to make at least 20,000 saves (regular season and playoffs combined) in franchise history. In 36 career regular season appearances against the Bruins, Lundqvist has posted a 22-12-2 record, along with a 1.95 GAA, a .934 SV%, and 6 SO. The Rangers’ all-time wins and shutouts leader has made 30 or more saves in 16 of his 35 appearances this season, and he has posted an 11-3-2 record, along with a 2.25 GAA, a .937 SV%, and 2 SO in those contests. Lundqvist made his ninth consecutive start – and 11th consecutive appearance – in tonight’s contest. His time playing with the Swift Current Broncos of the Western Hockey League is the subject of a new feature length documentary which explores his journey from young hockey player who was sexually abused by his junior hockey coach, Graham James, to his work today as a crusader for victims of abuse in Canada and worldwide.
