Henrik Lundqvist made 16 saves, and stopped all 14 shots he faced at even strength, to earn his eighth win of the 2018-19 season and the 439th win of his NHL career. He is now six wins away from tying Hall of Famer Terry Sawchuk for sixth place on the NHL’s all-time wins list (445). In addition, Lundqvist has now earned 500 wins (regular season and playoffs combined) in the NHL and as a member of the Rangers (439 regular season wins, 61 playoff wins). He earned his 250th career regular season win at Madison Square Garden in tonight’s contest. Lundqvist has posted a .900 SV% or better in 14 of his 17 appearances in 2018-19 (including nine of his last 10 appearances), and he has also posted a .925 SV% or better in nine of 17 appearances.
