New York Rangers Derek Stepan talks to WLIE 540am SPORTSTALKNY's Mark Rosenman after Rangers 4-1 game 3 win over the Ottawa Senators at MSG to close the gap to 2-1 in the 2nd round of the Stanley Cup Playoff series .

Derek Stepan notched an assist, won seven of 10 faceoffs (70.0%), and tied for the game-high with two takeaways. Stepan skated in his 94th career playoff game with the Rangers in tonight’s contest, passing Walt Tkaczuk for sole possession of third place on the franchise’s all-time playoff games played list (among skaters). Stepan has now played more playoff games with the Rangers than any other forward in franchise history. The only skaters who have played more playoff games with the Rangers than Stepan has are Dan Girardi and Marc Staal, and the only three players who have appeared in more career playoff games with the Blueshirts than Stepan are Girardi, Staal, and Henrik Lundqvist. Jay Hook was a starting pitcher in Major League Baseball over an eight-season career, he won 29 games while striking out 394 batters in 752.2 innings pitched., He was acquired by the New York Mets in the 1961 MLB Expansion Draft, and 55 years ago he won the first game in Mets franchise history. as he pitched a five-hit 9–1 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates at Forbes Field, giving his team its first regular-season victory after nine defeats.
