Downtown Muncie is getting ready to FIRE UP!

On this morning’s Delaware County Today with Steve Lindell, Vicki Veach from the Muncie Downtown Development Partnership stopped by to preview one of the city’s biggest and most colorful events: Fire Up Downtown, returning Friday, August 2 from 1–10 p.m. on Walnut Street!

With food trucks, bumper cars, three stages of live music, an iron pour, hot wing eating contests, Jeep shows, Downtown Idol auditions, and a dazzling finale of fireworks —this all-day FREE event is packed with fun for the whole family.

New this year? Giant remote-controlled hot air balloons (including a sloth ), and a cloudhopper pilot launching over downtown—no basket, just harnessed flight! 

2 WHOLE YEARS! Cam and TC get to spend their anniversary with Ball State alum and author - Brittany Means! The trio talk about her journey to getting "Hell If We Don't Change Our Ways" written, chickens, and so much more!
