Nath chose tonight's film, Isle Of Dogs and it happens to be our first animation discussed, also our first Wes Anderson (yet our 3rd title to feature Scarlett Johansson).

Isle Of Dogs was Anderson's 2nd foray into animation after the Fantastic Mr Fox, and once again called upon his ever growing list of regular collaborators to voice the characters, such as Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Jeff Goldblum, Tilda Swinton, Frances McDormand, Harvey Kietel, F Murray Abraham and Bob Balaban.

Jojo (Roman Griffin Davis) is a ten year old boy in Nazi Germany, and in the grip of the hysteria that is Hitler Youth. When he discovers that Jewish girl Elsa (Thomasin McKenzie) is living within the walls of his house he is torn between his mother (Scarlett Johannson) and his imaginary best friend Hitler (Taika Waititi).

Over 20 years ago, zany comedy performer Jim Carrey took his first steps into the world of dramatic acting in director Peter Weir's The Truman Show - a movie which reflected on the early days of a phenomenon known as reality TV. 

Now, as we sit in which we can only hope are the death throes of that same genre of TV - does this lighthearted comedy drama still work? Nath and Trev find out.
