is there anything more vulnerable as a musician than singing your own songs live? maybe naked, but that’s coming next.

As a teenager i accepted that my voice was sh*t and gave up on it, picked up another instrument instead. Now, 15y later, i’m hearing my voice over hundreds of people, closing the most beautiful festival.

One hour before the show i was panicking. After three festival days my voice was completely out of control. When the moment came i walked on stage, closed my eyes and just trusted myself. Never felt so naked before -and i’ve literally played naked before- but i was in peace and let it flow.

huge thank you to mystic creatures for creating the most stunning festival i know. thank you to all my friends who supported me and listened while i rehearsed. and thank you sophie, you’ve been my biggest support, believing in me even when i was losing it.

So grateful I got to bring my guitar and piano on Sunday morning at Creatures Corner and play a few tunes. But even happier to see everyone dancing in the sun and sharing warmth with each other.

Goshh.. what an absolutely beautiful and unique festival it was!!!

Right after Ninze & Niju on Sunday at 9am I served music to those who had been up all night and those who had just woken up and started the day. Very unique feeling it was.

I was preparing my liveset for 3 weeks, highly motivated, disciplined and organised counting down the days and hours until the festival started. I decided to play more instruments live, create new songs, reaarange old ones, change the internal settings and, above all, play 'analog' without laptop.

The venue, the people, the 100-year-old piano and my yerba mate made this concert absolutely unique. What a ride it was for me.... I packed half my studio into a rented car and drove 700 km to perform alone at a completely new venue and with a completely new live set. A certain amount of stress was constantly in my blood until I played the first notes.

For the first time I recorded and looped the piano live on stage, and for the first time I performed without a laptop.

I'm very happy to share this sonic astral journey we created in Chmury in midsummer 2022. The live act setup consists of 3 live synthesizers that I modulate and a Wurli that I improvise on, Thank you for having me!
