Starbuk is a rapper out of Fairbanks, Alaska. He has recorded with everyone from Tayy Tarentino to Prince Paul of De La Soul, Gravediggaz and Handsome Boy Modeling School… not the Gorillaz as i stated earlier. That production credit goes to Paul’s Handsome Boy Modeling School partner Dan the Automator. Back to Buk, his records include 2017’s Whiskey Weed and Women, 2016’s GoldKingz with Bishop Slice, 2011’s Requiem For Tha Streets, and 2009’s Side Up. Turns out Bishop Slice was riding with him, if you’re not familiar with Slice, get familiar. I’ve wanted to interview slice for a while but I was not at all prepared, that being said I had to pull some questions out of thin air. Buk and Slice on on their way to Anchorage for Friday evenings Ja Rule concert at the Egan Center, show starts at 8. Other confirmed performers include Jay Reeder, and Frozen Founders. Think of this as an Alaskan Hip-Hop jam with a headliner.

On Wednesday Feb. 26, Victor Rodriguez of Soldotna, Alaska won the AFC 135lb (Bantam Weight) title via 2nd round technical stoppage.

Seth Stacey is his longtime friend and kickboxing coach, during the breakdown of the fight we discuss strategy and implementation as well as getting Victor’s thoughts through the fight.
