Samhain (pronounced "sow-in") is a Celtic Pagan festival celebrating the end of the harvest and moving into the dark half of the year with Winter. Samhain is one of eight sacred days on the Pagan Wheel of the Year. All of these days hold spiritual significance with the seasons and the Sun. 

Samhain carries themes of: 

• honoring ancestors and the beloved dead
• celebrating the harvest
• understanding the cosmic death-cycles
• using community to forge connections and ensure survival through the harshest months
• merging between the spirit world and the world of the living

In this episode, I discuss the history of Samhain, give a deeper look into the themes, and discuss ways you can celebrate Samhain today. May your Samhain be safe and sacred. Blessed be.

Each person has an ego, which can be helpful at times, but it can quickly become inflamed, obsessed with the self above others, and driven to hold on to power.

This forecast starts with the Alchemy Oracle card the Drowned King. Kings in alchemy symbolize the ego, and now the ego must collapse so that we can rise as better, more benevolent Kings. This card is similar to the Tower tarot card with the invitations of ego collapse, destruction to rebirth, and returning to our foundations. We nurture this process with the Empress tarot card, and love and nourish the new, fragile parts of our identity that come forward. 

Main themes we discuss in this episode:

• Letting the ego fall and releasing attachments
• Nurturing the identity of spirit with radical love
• Creating patience and not rushing through discomfort

Sacred Connections. Divine Love. Strong emotional and physical bonds.

This episode is a deep dive into one of the most beautiful, but often misunderstood tarot cards. The Lovers is seen as romantic love between two people. I invite you to work with this tarot card as the sacred connections you form to the OTHER.  This OTHER could be anything.

The Lovers tarot card is the Creation line of the Major Arcana, so the energies are growth, expansion, and transformation. This happens in the Lovers when you merge in sacred connection to other things in your life, which could include people but doesn't have to include people or romance.

September's forecast is about honestly coming into your day, your situation, and reality, and using that as the blank page to change and transform into what you want to see. This forecast is about showing up authentically, not being afraid to get your hands dirty, or revealing a part of yourself that may seem less than perfect. Perfect is a facade.

Working with both tarot and oracle decks, we use these cards as a focal or starting point each day to alchemize a core part of the self. The Wild Unknown Alchemy oracle card is Leucosis / Lightening, and the tarot card from the Spirit Animal Tarot is Llama / Seeker of Fossils (Knight of Pentacles).

Getting the most from your tarot reading as a client, and protecting your tarot business with transparency

This new podcast series will cover different tips, tricks, reflections, or perspectives on the dual role of a tarot reading. Covering the relationship from the side of the client, and the reader, these short episodes will give you feedback on making your tarot readings (wherever you fall in that relationship) epic, honest, and powerful. My goal is to put the howl into your tarot practice and help your wild sovereignty provide a deep connection to the tool of tarot.

This forecast is a hard-hitting one. It's no joke. Our tarot and oracle cards are giving us a monthly forecast that is going to go deep into our wild spirits, our shadow work, our bravery, and our willingness to integrate our pain for transformation or let it go entirely.

This forecast starts with the New Pearl, our Alchemy oracle card from the Wild Unknown Alchemy deck. The New Pearl is a reminder that the irritant with its sharp edges that hurts the softest parts of our spirits is where we transform the most. The discomfort eventually yields something beautiful, a palpable gift for our wild spirits.

The tarot card that comes in and says this is how we alchemize the forecast (our call-to-action) is the Devil or in Spirit Animal Tarot: Goat / Shadow God of Liberation. This card says we alchemize discomfort by doing our shadow work with it. The Devil says that chains that hold you are the very things that will set you free.

Bridging the Divine. Ritual of Living. Practical Spiritual Practice in Action.

These themes are found with the Hierophant, card number five in a standard tarot deck. Coming after the Emperor tarot card, and before the Lovers tarot card, the Hierophant takes us from the foundations and helps us rise and ripple outwards, filling all the gaps with the Divine, the macrocosm, the bigger picture. 

The Hierophant is part of the Creation process where you move into things bigger than yourself. You become a working manifestation of the Universe, learning how to use everything past, present, and future to connect into the liminal.

The main themes of the Hierophant are:

• Magickal presence, connection to wild spirit, and embodying truth create a ripple effect of the self
• Illuminating what has been elusive, mysterious, or magickal and using it to leave a mark, small or large
• Strong foundations lead to knowledge gained- leads to balance between the magickal and the mundane

These episodes are designed to help you learn how I read the tarot cards, and build your intuitive practice, whether that is reading for yourself, or potential clients.

My review of the Wild Unknown Tarot deck, first covered on my blog, brings in the conversation of selecting a new tarot or oracle deck with mindfulness, breaking the myth of the "gifted deck," and how to make sure that you are connecting to your deck, no matter where you are at on your tarot journey.

This review covers my thoughts on the different parts of the deck: Major Arcana, Minor Arcana, Court Cards, including the packaging, card stock, and guidebook. This deck was the beginning of my tarot journey, and it has become a mainstay for many tarot collectors and readers. If you don't have this deck, and you connect with the wild, both known and unknown, I think you will find this deck a joy to pull and use in your own tarot practice.

If you are looking to purchase your first deck, or you are looking to add a new one to the collection, some things that may help sway your purchase to yes or no include:

• Are you buying the deck because it is popular, or because you really connect with it?

Is the Void everything, or nothing? Where does it start, and where does it end?

The Alchemy Oracle card this month is the Void- the cosmic paradox of eternal spaciousness from which all things are birthed into creation. This oracle card is about finding the liminal, the darkness, the destiny behind the veil of the tangible world, and meeting that edge. The tarot card this month is the Scorpion / 5 of Branches (Wands), a perfect metaphor for going into the depths of the cosmos starts by going into the depths of spirit.

His powerful force of strength invites you to endure and overcome hardships so that you can hold that space for others, a rippling affect of change for all.

• Support and protection are the foundation. A strong force of will, more than control orpower, is key.
• Merges creations and order, balances and brings to external spaces.
• Knowing what is within control, and what is not. Self-governance rules from the inside outward.
