Following the voted majority of a nature-based episode, I kept coming back to this idea of cocooning and going within, especially in this time. Winter naturally leads to cocooning, incubating, and insulating.

Although it is often talked about in a much more consumer or home-decor focus today, winter invites a retreat into the internal and the darkness. At the same time, winter allows the process of transformation to occur by initiating the death-cycles, the breakdowns, and the barrenness.

In this episode, we discuss the beautiful life-cycle of the butterfly, the process of self-metamorphosis, the journey of spiritual migration, and the unseen magick in the chrysalis.

• Wheat: Ancient symbol of prosperity, and longevity. Easy to grow- staple crop for abundance and endurance

We are following the continuing series, and narrative, of the tarot by looking at each card. We started with the Fool, and now we move on to the Magician. This is one of my favorite cards for so many reasons, all of which we get into in the episode.

• How the Magician starts the journey of moving through the three rows of the Major Arcana (the Creations / Destruction / Evolution rows). 
  • Once we end with the World, we cycle through the Fool, and the journey begins again.

Hello there, I started recording this on September 26th, and while I sat all morning thinking about what I wanted to discuss, I realized that I just wanted to read some more poetry. In this episode, I will be reading poetry from Edgar Allen Poe, Sylvia Plath, Priscilla Becker, and finishing with my own poem Temperance, as it was the third monthly card for September.

Hello my dears, it is time for the monthly forecast for September. This month the cards that we are working with are the 8 of Swords reversed and the Goat and Willow (Overcoming Obstacles). You all know I am passionate about bringing more intuitive narratives to the cards, ones that align with my own exploration. 

I believe the 8 of Swords invites in a brave willingness to find the blend between the liminal, mysterious, and dark parts of our knowing with the logical, reasoned, and rational parts. I believe the 8 of Swords invites us to find an internal compass of truth and use that as a direction forward, even when it is shrouded, felt but not seen, so to speak. 

In this episode the main themes that we discuss are:

• Follow an inner compass of truth to overcome changing perspectives. 
• Finding deeper wisdoms - a self-made foundation.
• Deeper understandings and perceptions come through being wrong, confronting things in new ways, or releasing the ego- radical shift in cultivating awareness.
• Viewing into the depths to see and understand the whole truth
• Uncovering falsehoods and finding wisdom through a willingness that often juts up to fears, insecurities, or hardships

We also discuss narratives of finding softness, vulnerability, using reversals as a reminder of internal work, and the truth of healing journeys. Let me know your thoughts or comments about this forecast. Thank you so much, wild one!

In this episode, the narrative is going back to the beginning, the end, the cyclic narrative of the Fool. The Fool as card 0 marks the constant shift and return to self, a homecoming on a grand scale. It is not a card that speaks to grand adventure, but rather that YOU are the adventure, the divine magick arriving at thresholds of self into other, self into self, and other into you. 

In this episode, the main themes that we talk about are:

• how the Fool does not speak to an external adventure, but rather how you are the adventure
• how the Fool is not simply naïve or ignorant, and what it means to tap into the magick of youthful belief
• the invitations of the Fool are ones of :
  • coming into wholeness of self, into complete presence
  • letting that wholeness allow you to arrive at the apex of manifestation
  • the threshold of that apex opens you to yourself and therefore, the world with trust
•   the role of the Fool as holy fool, court jester, creator of change, and equal parts Creator and Destroyer

Hear dear ones. In this episode, I discuss a lot of information about my own ritual for getting to know a new deck, or reconnecting with a deck that you haven't used in a while. I break down the parts of the ritual, and share how I use parts two and three to unburden and relieve some decks that I have used frequently. I also show how I write a tarot spread, regardless of subject or theme.

For writing the spread the three steps are:
