Hey everyone, I wanted to take a quick moment to share an exciting update with our community. Over the last few months, God has really been reminding me to focus on the one thing, which is helping our community grow in confidence, clarity, and courage as public speakers and communicators.

So beginning now, Mastering the Mic will publish one episode each week instead of two. This allows me to go deeper creating content that truly helps you master the mic from the stage, sharpen your message, and walk confidently in what God called you to do.

And for those who have been asking, yes, the WOM AI Club (formally AI Made Simple) is still available. You can find out more at https://www.womenofmovement.org/womaiclub. It’s a space where our community can learn to use AI in practical, aligned ways that support your speaking, leadership, and communication journey. This new season, ok we can call it that, is all about focus, excellence, and impact.

In this episode, I'm going in regarding one of the biggest fears many Christian female speakers face and that is worrying about what people think (and say) about you. Whether it’s your speaking, your brand, your looks, or even your walk with God, it’s so easy to get caught up in other people’s opinions. Yet, this is the deal: what they think or say about you does not define you. What God says about you, does.

This is your reminder that confidence doesn’t come from approval; it comes from alignment. When you know you’re walking in purpose, you stop asking for permission or apologizing for being you. I did that for many years and I’m not even going back there again. 

Jeremiah 1:8 says, "Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you." So there ya go, boom.

In this episode, I encourage Christian women speakers to step out from behind fear and into their calling to speak boldly. At one time it was video that brought fear, doubt, and anxiety for me. Then one day I just started doing video and although it’s still not my favorite (I rather audio), I stepped out and that helped overcome those emotions that used to stop me. So, whenever the time for video is right for you, you may surprise yourself by just getting out there. Just remember, God didn’t give you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind/self discipline (2 Timothy 1:7).

Have you ever wondered why some speakers never step into their calling fully? In this episode, I dive into the common reasons women shrink back from speaking on stage or just putting themselves out there in general in doing what God called them to do. How can you overcome fear when you don’t even give God a chance to work on you and through you? Without faith it’s impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him (Hebrews 11:6).
