It's summer time and most of us start our vacationing, and lots of quality family time needed to enjoy life and company during this time. Our #wcwoftheweek is Dr. Roshawnna Novellus, creator of EnrichHER, is passionate about helping business owners ready to attract funding. Dr. Novellus has been featured in Forbes, Huffington Post, Inc., WSJ, and Rolling Out. She has also completed the Pipeline Angels Fellowship, a Kauffman program in angel investing. Roshawnna serves on the Commission on Women for the City of Atlanta, and was honored as one of the Women Who Means Business by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Dr. Novellus used crowdfunding to raise of $600,000 in donations and scholarships to pay for her college education.

Roshawnna holds a Doctor of Science in Systems Engineering and Finance from the George Washington University, a MS in Information technology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a BA in Business Management Economics, and a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of California. She is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and is a member of various professional organizations including the Forbes Young Entrepreneur Council(YEC).

This past April she held her first inaugural EnrichHER Business Conference at Atlanta Tech Village in Buckhead, GA. In partnership with the City of Atlanta, EnrichHer supported women entrepreneurs during a two-day conference that engaged over 250 participants. The conference focused on the development of successful women business leaders. Six women led businesses participated in EnrichHER's business pitch competition. The winner, Lalanya Abner of Imagination Beyond Boundaries, was awarded $5,000 in funding.

The balancing act of of a Mompreneur:

Nobody said being a mom and a businesswoman was easy. If they did, they must not have had any personal experience in the matter! Balancing the time it takes to develop a successful business and raise a family at the same time takes skill, and it’s not a skill you learn overnight.

Becoming a mom and entrepreneur, or “mompreneur” is first and foremost a labor of love. It really works best if you WANT to do both. The passion required to manage a business while keeping up after the kids each day is sometimes the only fuel you’ll have to run on, so staying motivated is key.

What will you find most helpful in becoming a successful mompreneur?
Time management, hands down. If you don’t know how to manage your time, you will get burned out quickly – trust us. And you can’t always schedule yourself into cute little time slots, either. Oftentimes, you have to seize the moment when it arises.

Here are a few tips that will help you become a successful mom and businesswoman.
- Create a Schedule
-Capitalize on Nap Time
-Set Boundaries
-Plan for interruptions
-Ask for Assistance/Help
