Since her loss to Ronda Rousey, Julia Budd has been on a tear winning her past six fights. Since her signing to Bellator, the #3 ranked featherweight has lined herself up for a possible title fight.

Budd's next test is against Australian Arlene Belncowe, a world champion boxer at Bellator 162 in Memphis, Tennessee Octber 21 which will stream on Bellator.com.

Serena "Southpaw" DeJesus joins us as a co-host as we discuss Budd's weight cutting methods, the state of the featherweight division, and her quest to become a Bellator champion.

Two female pro title bouts are set for King of the Cage's Natural Instinct card in 

Lac du Flambeau, WI July 30th.

One of Minnesota's best fighters Heather Bassett will look for her first world title as she takes on Nicco Montano for the vacant belt in the main event of the card.

Aspiring fighter Chelsea Rae will be our co-hosting as we will talk to Bassett about preparing for the biggest match of her career.

Currently at 4-1 as a pro, Jenny Silverio has been heating up the atomweight division.

She will be looking for a 5th when she takes on atomweight star and wrestler Kyra Batara on Combates America April 25th in Los Angeles. We will tak to her about the bout and her idea on the division.

Fighter Chelsea Rae will be helping us co-host the podcast. A talented ainger-songwriter, she has been training across the country with a lot of up and coming talent.

It was tough for the WMMA Press Committee to decide between 9 fights to what was the 2015 Fight of the Year was. With so many great bouts, it took several votes to wind it down to one.

The winner of the bout will join us to accept her award. 

We will also announce the winner of the other 3 unannounced awards including Fighter of the Year.

For the WMMA Press Committee, it was hard to pick just one Inspiratinal Fighter of the Year. Both earned the honor for different reasons.

One is a dedicated law enforcement officer who was on the frnt lines of one of the biggest riots in the country's history. Only weeks after it had settled, she went on to fight at Invcita. She not only keeps the street safe, but offers help to animals and people alike.

The other has had the greaest cmeback in female fighting history. Opening her career at 1-11, she went on to go on a four fight win streak and has won six of her last eight.

We will talk to one of the winners and annunce both.

Each year, the WMMA Press committee, made up of six journalists that cover the female divisions in MMA, pick their favorites of the year.

We will be giving away two awards on the show. The first is Sponsor of the Year, which honors the business that helps support the female athletes throughut the year.

The second is Amateur of the Year. This award is dedicated to the fighter who shined brightest in the ammy ranks and could be the future of the sport in the coming years.

Both recipients will be live on the show to recieve their awards and talk about their 2016.

Many recent books have taken a personal and historical prospective on females taking up combat sports. A book just published takes a look at the expansion through a scientific and scholastic view.

Dr. Alex Channon along with his colleague Dr. Christopher R. Matthews has complied research and have published "Global Perspectives on Women in Combat Sports: Women Warriors around the World". The book looks into why women are starting to be accepted in these sports, and the hurdles they are facing as the sports grow globally. 

Channon is a Doctor of Sports Sociology from the University of Greenwich and has researched the topic for several years, including publishing papers on women competing in the sports, and how it in itself has a psychological and societal impact.  

In part two, we discuss marketing in female fight sports, how technology has helped expand acceptance of female fighting, the expansion of the sport globally, and why MMA seems to be leading the way in getting women accepted in combat sports across the board.

Fighting out of sunny Florida, Felicia Spencer won the inaugural Tuff-n-uff lightweight tournament. The tournament title came with a contract to Invicta. At 5-1 as an amateur, Spencer has finished in three of her fights.

Spencer faces fellow Invicta debutant Rach Wiley on Invicta’s 14th card September 12 in Kansas City, which will stream live on UFC Fight Pass.

We will talk to Spencer about her tournament win and getting prepared for what will be her toughest fight of her career.
