Women constitute roughly 51.1 percent of the gender distribution in the United States, yet they remain significantly underrepresented in government positions. This intriguing phenomenon has prompted Dr. Carol Nechemias and me to delve into an in-depth exploration of the historical and contemporary roles of women within the political arena. By examining the evolution of women’s involvement in politics from the past to the present day, we aim to unravel the complexities surrounding these issues.
