Ms. Oluwaseunfunmi Arasi joined us for the September Episode of the WARIF Podcast. Ms. Arasi is a public health expert who mentors young people on reproductive health and gender-based violence. Her work spans community development, research, and evaluation and she is also a master facilitator and trainer. She has her first-degree a Psychology and holds a Master of Public Health in Population and Reproductive Health Education from the University of Ibadan in Nigeria.
Join us as we continue to create awareness of the prevalence of rape and sexual assault in our communities and provide vital information on essential services to survivors, to assist with their healing and journey to full recovery.
For the month of August, we spoke to Dr. Aniekan Makanjuola. Dr. Aniekan is a medical doctor and an alumnus of the University of Benin. She joined the Women at risk international Foundation (WARIF) at its inception in 2016, as the head of the clinical service division, and later the center manager of the WARIF Rape Crisis Centre. In her capacity, she has provided medical treatment and forensic examination to survivors of rape and other forms of gender-based violence while ensuring prompt and quality service provision for these survivors. Dr. Aniekan has served as an expert witness in court in GBV-related cases, and she is also involved in community-based outreaches to raise awareness about gender-based violence.
For the Month of JULY, WARIF spoke to the Executive Director for Junior Achievement of Nigeria, Foluso Gbadamosi. Foluso is a Business and Technology Professional, Author, Speaker, Trainer, and also a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach who helps individuals leverage their talents to achieve greater performance in different areas of their lives.
