Words of Wisdom
Everything is intersectional. Learn more about building black business communities. I can’t speak to what it is to be a woman. But in a lot of cases, I just kind of wing it and I substitute misogyny for racism and I substitute woman for black. But I use the exact same words of a thing that happened to me. And the heads start nodding. It’s like, “That happens to me all the time.” And I’m like, “And what do you think?” “Freaking sexism.” I’m like, “Exactly. That’s also how racism works.” Power treats the disadvantaged in very similar ways. We just call it different things.
