She is an award-winning, international speaker, executive coach, author and brain trainer who has worked with Fortune 100 companies, international associations, three Olympic teams, and 34 Olympians from the U.S., Australia and the Pacific Rim. She’s known throughout the world as “the get ‘er done gal.” Dr. Kaz shares the latest in research, case studies and how she’s over come seven totaled vehicles, six near-death experiences, five major career boo-boos, four limiting beliefs, three houses burning down, two broken necks and being financially, emotionally and physically bankrupt.

Embracing the Unstoppable You with Ada Lloyd

In today’s episode I speak with Ada Lloyd, the creator of The Momentum Planner. She is a speaker, podcast guest, workshop facilitator, author and life coach. Having experienced childhood sexual abuse at a time when no one spoke about it, she carved a path to hope and healing. Finally at Home in My Own Skin

I am finally at home in my own skin. I know and love who I am and that has released in my soul a strong and quiet confidence that wasn't there before. It’s been a journey getting here – literally all my life. And my mission now is to help other women, like you, to build this same confidence in who they are.

In this episode, I share some of my own journey of getting to this place and three powerful strategies I discovered along the way.

1. Spirit Nudges: a way to step back and observe your thoughts and reactions to things. Creating self-awareness in the moment brings a deeper knowing of who you are. The more you know yourself, the better equipped you will be to strip off all that is not you.

2. Talk Nice to Yourself: it's better than beating yourself up! Pay attention to the looping negative self-talk and stop them in their tracks. Honor and value your great qualities and unique traits. Speak to yourself lovingly and with kindness. 

3. Give Yourself a Hug: fully embrace all of who you are - all your goodness and all your flaws. Accept who you are right now and then decide you are more than enough and you are worth investing in so that you can grow into your best self.

In this episode, I chat with Falisa Berry-Asberry, a recently retired police officer who served for 27 years. Falisa now owns a coaching and consulting company called Peacock Training & Consulting. Falisa's passion is to support others to become the best versions of themselves and to be authentic - all the time. In fact, that is the name of her most recent project, Authentic All the Time. 

Falisa shared with me in our conversation how she came to focus on authenticity in her work. She was raised by a mom with a mental health diagnosis which caused her to be protective of her children. As a result, Falisa lived a rather sheltered life and didn't learn how to express herself or find her voice. Her story is a story of inner struggle to find her authentic self, as so many of us experience. She talks about what happened when she put on her police uniform and what happened when she took it off. 

It wasn't until Falisa decided to "do the work," as she calls it, that she finally was able to discover her true self and find true freedom. As she says, "There's so much freedom in finding yourself. It's awesome to be you without any reservation."
