Welcome to the Women Encouraging Women podcast!

Today, we are so excited to introduce you to our friends, Cindy & Hannah. They are the founders of a ministry called Fish Company, which seeks to “live out James 1:27 and provide care for widows and orphans throughout the world.” They do this through educating, empowering, and encouraging others to use the gifts and talents God gave them. One way they do this is by creating hand-crafted items, which they exchange for donations to fund their projects.

Welcome to the Women Encouraging Women podcast!

We were so excited to have Rachel on our podcast and to learn about what it’s like behind the scenes at a high-end restaurant! It’s not often you get to talk to someone who on a daily basis has the opportunity to create edible works of art. If you haven’t gotten a chance, check out her Instagram @lipstickandgelato, her bonbons are truly works of art.

So a little recap on our interview with her, she is a pastry chef at Four-Eleven Restaurant in Norfolk, VA, she has always had a love for baking especially since her personality (Enneagram 7, for anyone interested) enjoys spending time with people and creating wonderful food to share with others creates the perfect hospitable environment.

Getting to hear about how this opportunity came about is such an incredible story of being brave and taking a step towards the unknown which turned into an incredible opportunity. These are the kind of stories we are so excited to share with you, ones where someone has a passion for something, they worked hard at it and then this turns into a job opportunity. Hard work, perfecting your skill, and determination will take you far in life.
